Safety guidelines for home visitors who encounter evidence of methamphetamine and substance abuse. Lists examples of common illicit drug paraphernalia, as well as red flags particular to methamphetamine production. Provides advice on discussing drug use with parents (if no imminent danger). Warns visitors not to enter a home if evidence of a meth lab is found. Includes decontamination instructions if the visitor is exposed to meth. Lists physical and behavioral warning signs that a caregiver is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Includes advice on what to do when caregivers are under the influence in the presence of children.
