Barrier crimes for child-placing agencies and for foster and adoptive homes approved by child-placing agencies

An alphabetical list of offenses (with relevant code sections) that the state of Virginia classifies as barrier crimes that would prevent the placement of a child in a home. Drug-related offenses include: the manufacture of methamphetamine in the presence of a child, the unlawful procurement of prescription drugs, distributing drugs to minors, felony drug possession, criminal drug activity involving controlled substances, methamphetamine, and steroids, maintaining a drug house, and selling drugs near certain properties.
