Wyoming Alliance for Drug Endangered Children
A DEC protocol outlining response procedures for law enforcement personnel. Describes role of law enforcement in identifying drug endangered children, contacting and working with child protective services both at the scene and after removal of the child, notifying appropriate WYADEC personnel, documenting evidence on the child, the family, and the home for potential child endangerment/abuse cases, and submitting the case to the prosecutor. Includes a detailed child decontamination protocol that covers procedures for children removed from a meth lab scene, as well as for children located at school or daycare when a home meth lab has been identified.
