An Introduction to clandestine meth labs

National Law Enforcement and Corrections Technology Center – 2012

Description of a training program for law enforcement and other first responders on the hazards of clandestine meth labs, particularly the one step “shake and bake” method of meth production. Describes items commonly found at labs. Notes that one step meth manufacture can be especially dangerous because the plastic containers used are not designed to hold combustible materials. Provides links to resources illustrating how these bottles can easily explode, resulting in burn injuries.
