Also notes negative impact of exposure to violence on children, and how domestic violence and child abuse can be connected. Lists risk factors for child maltreatment, including young age, prematurity, disability, and poverty. Includes child abuse prevention strategies, such as parent education and assistance programs, substance abuse treatment and recovery, and community support services.
